Trade Sales Support Assistant

Responsibilities include:

Operations

• Handle inbound calls from customers, addressing their queries, providing product information, and assisting with order placement.  
• Undertake outbound calls to follow up on quotes, orders, and maintain a proactive approach to customer service. This includes contacting customers who have not traded in some time and outbound calls as part of generating new business.  
• Provide relief and backup personnel support to trade counter sales team during peak times, and a set amount of hours each week to ensure a smooth customer experience by providing product knowledge, processing transactions, and handling customer inquiries.  
• Collaborate with sales representatives to handle special orders and prepare quotes for customers. Ensure all requests are processed efficiently to meet customer expectations. 
• Assist in maintaining optimal stock levels by monitoring inventory, identifying slow-moving or obsolete items, and recommending appropriate actions to the branch manager. 
• Build and maintain positive relationships with trade customers,
  addressing their needs, resolving issues, and ensuring their overall satisfaction. 
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly sales and ad-hoc reports as and when directed by the Branch Manager.

To be considered for this role you will need:

Ideally you will have:

• Similar work experience in a customer service retail role
• Exceptional communication skills with active listening ability
• Target driven towards increasing customer satisfaction and experience
• Familiarity with CRM systems and practices
• Excellent interpersonal skills suited to working a small team environment
• Strong organisational skills
• Numerical abilities and problem-solving attitudes
